Updating WordPress Themes

However, if you’ve made modifications directly to the parent theme files, those changes may be overwritten during the update. To safeguard your customizations, it’s recommended to use the Child theme of Jobi, conveniently provided within the theme package.

Methods for Theme Updates

Update Through WordPress Admin Panel

1. Navigate to [direction]Appearance > Themes[/direction] and activate another theme.
2. Delete the currently installed theme.
3. Unzip the file downloaded from ThemeForest and locate jobi.zip.
4. In the Themes section, click “Install Themes” and then “Upload.”
5. Browse and select the new theme file jobi.zip.
6. Choose “Yes” from the “Upgrade existing theme?” dropdown.
7. Click “Install Now” and then “Activate.”

Please note that before updating a theme, we recommend making a backup of your modified files. Additionally, we recommend deactivating the current version of the theme, uploading the zip file with the new theme version, then activating and updating the theme.

After Update

With each theme update, it’s essential to also update the corresponding Joby Core plugin to access the listed changes and improvements. Follow these steps to ensure you have the latest plugin version:

2. Check for available updates for the plugins installed.
3. If there is an update available for the Joby Core plugin, proceed to update it from the plugin management page.
